Creating a photo collage

Published by danahinders at 7:08 pm under Uncategorized Edit This

Have you ever admired the photo collage walls in your favorite home décor magazine and wondered how you could get the same look for less? Shopping at your local dollar store makes it easy. Dollar stores have cheap picture frames in a wide variety of sizes. When making a photo collage wall, it doesn’t matter if the picture frames match exactly. However, you should try to keep a general theme. For example, look for frames that are all silver or all black. If you can’t find enough with a common element, buy a can of spray paint and paint them yourself!

Another great way to make your photo collage wall look more unified is to simply convert all of your photos to black and white or sepia toned images using your favorite digital image editing software. This will also camouflage poor photography skills in any special snapshots! If you’re worried about the cost of reprints, simply print the images out on heavyweight cardstock before framing. The glass is enough to help keep them protected.
